Hobart College is a spacious campus set in bushland with views to Mount Wellington. The excellent facilities at Mt Nelson mean students are able to engage in a wide range of activities whilst on campus including an accessible gym with welcoming staff,  a six hundred seat theatre, student lounge, campus radio station, a vibrant music and art department and comprehensive IT facilities. The college is well serviced by buses which provide transport to the city, Kingston and Southern regional areas. There is ample parking for students who choose to drive.
Hobart College is an inclusive environment which supports and nurtures all students. It is a multicultural campus, welcoming international and exchange students. As well as offering a full range of TCE subjects, students have the opportunity to enrol in Certificate Courses and the UTAS High Achiever Program.  Teachers at Hobart College aim to ensure that all students reach their highest potential by providing programs which enrich and engage.

After consultation with our school community Hobart College has chaplaincy service.  This is in conjunction with Scripture Union Tasmania as our provider.  This funding is provided by DEEWR through the NSCSWP program and the Local Chaplaincy Committee.
